Round three

I don’t know how it happens, but it seems as though the first week of a new Semester is the week that I am most likely to have a mild emotional breakdown from the overload of new sensory stimulation. I am even going to say that I feel better before an exam than I do before the first week of Semester.

Is it just me, or does anyone feel as though whenever you start a new routine you go into total mental overdrive? Whether that be a new rotation at work, new semester of study, or even starting a new gym routine (I am not speaking from first hand experience here), there is just something about all of the changes that occur simultaneously that throw you – even if in just a small way.

On top of my new classes, this semester I also have practicum, extra meetings and an additional 7 hours worth of driving to get me where I need to go. As you can imagine, I’m taking it one day at a time and catching up on a lot of podcasts.

I still cannot believe that it’s a little over 3 months until I finish this whirlwind degree. And although from where I am standing now, the next few months seem very steep, as long as I take things step by step, this final hike will be over before I know it.

xx Liz

p.s. I would love your suggestions about great podcasts to get me through my commute in the comments below!

It is my first day back at uni after the break and I’m finding it difficult to psych myself up to get going. I have sooooo much on today too. Ooh good podcasts…I really like Millennial, Mind Body Musings and Food Psych.

The struggle to find motivation is all too real. I hope that you managed to get through the day. I have never listened to any of them! Thank you for the suggestions. xx

Girl, have confidence knowing that you are about to own these next three months! Just breathe and remember that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed – in fact, you’d probably have to wonder what you were doing if you weren’t feeling that way! You can do it! xo
