It’s a new season.
And it seems to be the perfect time to take a step back and stop for a moment. It’s been a whirlwind of a year so far. Moving out, changing cities, starting uni, starting a new job, making friends, finding my feet…
I have settled into a beautiful routine of sunrise walks along the beach, deliciously nourishing meals and disciplined days of study. Although I still wake up each day overwhelmed with gratitude, I must admit that I am tending to spend my time with my head around the big picture. In an effort to stay on top of the to-do list, the calendar and what is happening with those around me, it’s definitely time for a reminder to stop and notice the beauty in the little things.
There is beauty in everything when we look for it.
I absolutely love Autumn. I love the weather (however unpredictable and consequently inappropriately dressed you are) and the colours. It’s a time for a wardrobe clear-out as you discover what you actually wear when it’s hot and when it’s cold within a short period of time. It’s the season of Easter and my birthday. And a great season to refresh the exercise routine in light of those two celebrations.
This season I will get through my first Semester of uni and set myself up for the rest of the year of study with placement and my thesis. One of my best friends will have her baby, another will prepare to get married and my aunty will travel to Europe for a few weeks to visit family. This season is going to be beautiful.
And I’m looking forward to seeing the beauty that is and is to come.
