It’s week two and I’m going to be completely honest… I’m already a little bit brain fried.
An incredible lifestyle (hello study breaks at the beach), gorgeous new friends and all the amazing food that the Gold Coast has to offer aside, this year is going to be a challenge. A wonderful, character-building challenge. Not that I expected anything less.
The first few weeks are always a bit overwhelming as you are faced with the requirements and expectations for the year. Every single assignment, presentation, placement, study session and exam is to come. Not to mention the thesis.
But I’m actually more excited than daunted. I have already written my first two assignments and taken extensive study notes. Bond Uni is incredibly nurturing and supportive of its students in all areas, from academic support to an included gym membership (we’re already all over post-lecture yoga classes). I love the challenge and the mental stimulation of having so many projects to do all at once. And I have enough self-discipline to embrace the freedom over your time that uni gives you.
That’s not to say that tonight won’t be spent watching Netflix and eating homemade pizzas made on rye wraps. Because it totally will.
It’s about balance.
