If I haven’t already said it, I will say it now. How fast is this year going? I mean, how is it already Winter? It feels like just yesterday I complaining about Hot Cross Buns being available on New Years Day (I am not joking).
I have to admit that I was a little bit thrown by the warm weather when I woke up this morning. It didn’t really feel right that I could go for a walk without a jacket. I have enjoyed the short reprise that we have had from the cold snap a few weeks ago. But as the day rapidly cooled down, my anticipation for this next season definitely heated up.
I am a big believer in the idea that life moves in seasons. Work. Relationships. Finances. Education… Sometimes these seasons gradually move from one to the other. However sometimes, like the drastic change of weather throughout the day today, the change of season hits you in an unexpectedly unbalancing way.
I am definitely in one of those seasons of changes at the moment. Although I must admit that I did feel it coming, I was completely unprepared when it did hit. And what a wonderful change it has been, forcing me to shift, to refocus and to grow.
I am looking forward to Winter. Bonfires. Mountain picnics. Warm wooly jumpers from suitcase rummages. And I am looking forward to this season of change in my life. Work. Travel. Education. New opportunities. New experiences.
It’s hard to feel cold when life is heating up.
