Like most good things, I’ve found that developing a good market takes time. So you can imagine my surprise when I showed up at the week old Red Hill Farmers Markets bright and early this morning to meet a friend for breakfast and found what appeared to be a very established, busy market full of clothes, food, produce and crafts.
Not only were there a few new stalls that I had never seen around before, I came across a few of my favourites from the Saturday morning Carseldine market including Love Miss Polly, Zoe’s Brownies, some familiar produce suppliers and my usual flower man.
I ended up buying some incredible home made Labnah Greek Yoghurt Cheese in child oil (made by local Brisbane business Bahbah), mushrooms, flowers and of course had a sunflower and rye bagel with avocado, cucumber, capers and smoked salmon for breakfast (because why change a good thing?).
Located on Fulcher Rd near the Bronco’s club at Red Hill, the location and amazing organisation gives me the feeling that this is going to continue to be a thriving market. It is definitely one market that I know I will be visiting again.
A weekend with two markets and two bagels for breakfast is a very good weekend indeed. Not to mention a public holiday and a new subscription to Netflix thanks to my amazing sister.
It seems I may be on to a very good thing.

The long drive brought back memories of my childhood as well. Loved reading about your family adventure and the love of family.
