I finished the first full draft of my last individual course work assignment today. Of course, I still have a professional portfolio, group assignment presentation, practicum placement and, of course, a thesis to complete. But hey, little victories.
Writing assignments can be an emotional rollercoaster, full of creative procrastination, self-doubt, frustration, and “brain food” (which usually involves a lot of peanut butter).
It’s hard to describe the feelings you get through the process. But here is a start.
When you are told that there is “no wrong way” to do the assignment.
When you sit down to actually write something.
After you finally write 100 words.
When none of the research is consistent.
When you get half way through writing your assignment and realise how little research there is on your chosen topic.
When you have to spend all day writing an assignment.
]
When people ask you how you are feeling about your assignment.
When you go over the word limit.
The feeling you get when you finally finish an assignment after endless days of writing.
When you walk away from the submission portal.
Happy studying all.
xx Liz

Hahaha this has LITERALLY been my week, Liz! Happy studying to you, too!
I am so glad you get it! Good luck! x
I love it. This is me this weekend.
I hope your study is going well. xx
Way to go on finishing the first draft of your assignment, girl! I haven’t done an assignment in YEARS but this is how I feel with every writing project for my clients 😛
Why is it that word limits always seem like an impossible task and then all of a sudden you’re like WTF HOW DID I GET 3000 WORDS MORE THAN I NEEDED?!?! 😛
Thank you so much!
That is EXACTLY how I feel! xx
